An Invitation from Youth Director Richard Magill to all High School and Middle School youth:

Whether you and your family have followed Jesus for as long as you can remember or you are just curious about why so many people are so adamant about this Jesus guy being the only way to God the Father in heaven, I sincerely welcome you to join us on Friday nights from 7-10pm for a time of fun and fellowship, as well as down to earth teaching of the word of God.

On Wednesday’s, at 7 p.m., our youth come together to spend time in deep reflection of what was taught on Fridays. We often split up into smaller groups and explore with each other how Friday’s lesson applies to us specifically and work to find God’s word to each of our hearts as individuals.

On Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. there are Bible School classes in which we read and study the word of God.

In addition to these three regular meetings, we also get together for the express purpose of having fun with each other approximately once a month, doing things like hiking, parties, and other field trips. Once or twice a quarter, we try to get together and give back to our community in the form of mercy ministries and community outreach. And once a year we assist the missions’ efforts of Bishop Cummins, as we go to another church in need, and perform various construction, clean-up projects, and mercy efforts. As if that’s not enough, we have opportunities to attend various camps, retreats, or conferences lasting any where from one to seven nights, two or three times a year.

Needless to say, we are a very active youth group. As a result, our kids are very close to each other and tend to treat each other as much like family as friends. That being said, in the few short months I have been here, I have seen these kids truly accept new kids, as if they were a part of that family. Bishop Cummins is truly blessed with an active and vibrant youth ministry, but there will always be room for one more – you.

Please, come and join us.
