FINDING ANSWERS

Today, more than ever, people need answers to the most important questions about life and death.

Questions like these often go unanswered:
“Who is God, and what does He expect of me?”, “Can I possibly know Him?”, “Is there only one way to God?”, “What about faiths other than Christianity?”, “What is the Gospel?”, “Who is Jesus Christ?”

The answers to these questions and many more are in the Bible.
We invite you to come and join us as we learn the answers the Bible gives to these questions.

There are many opportunities to get involved at Bishop Cummins! You can find a place to serve and fit in! We have monthly middle school game nights, twice a month high school youth group, a knitting & crocheting service group, several prayer groups, and a weekly Bible study…In each of these groups we seek to put our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and His message of forgiveness and reconciliation as the priority.

VISITING? Here is what to expect!

We are so glad that you are considering joining us for worship! You will be greeted at the front door as you enter the foyer.  Members are generally chatting in the foyer until the service begins at 10:15. There are ushers handing out service bulletins.  The doors leading to the sanctuary are closed at 10:10 to provide quiet in the sanctuary as we settle in and prepare our hearts and minds for worship.

WORSHIP: The service will begin with organ or piano music then the announcements at 10:15. We have communion on the 1st and 3rd Sundays and a Morning Prayer service on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month. Communion is open to all baptized Christians. Much of the service is projected onto screens at the front of the sanctuary. We follow the order for worship in the Book of Common Prayer found in the pews. Page numbers are listed in the bulletin and on the screen.

WHAT TO WEAR: Please feel comfortable in casual or dressy clothes! There is no dress code and you may see folks in suits or dresses as well as jeans.

KIDS: There is a nursery available for children 3 years old and under, just check with a greeter or usher and they will assist you. All children are welcome to participate in worship.

MUSIC: a mix of traditional hymns, liturgical singing and praise music.

Paul’s Proof of the Resurrection

Acts 17:1-3 (ESV) says this, “Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a synagogue of the Jews. 2 And Paul went in, as was his custom, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures, 3 explaining and proving that it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead, and saying, “This …
